Family Law Update: The Family Court (Supporting Families in Court) Legislation Bill passed its royal assent on 15 May 2020.
At Adams Law, we could not be more happier to return to the pre-2014 regime. What this means is that on and from 1 July 2020, parties will be allowed legal representation in all proceedings under the Care of Children Act 2004.
This means you no longer have to file on notice (non-urgent) applications on your own. You can now have a family lawyer act for you from the beginning, and you may also be eligible for legal aid too.
